222. Stupid State

As soon as Ibane returns from his 'bloody battle', Reus explains he went to Alvast using the Hyper Switch to escort Nocht to complete the secret mission of Aulcrat.

Ibane nodded slowly to be able to accept Reus' explanation. He himself was already more or less aware of Reus' secret mission and Ikshan had a relationship with Nocht, but due to Ipane's privacy did not want to interfere too much in this personal matter.

"Well, I wouldn't protest any further if it was for your secret mission."

"Thank you for understanding. If I get word Nocht wants to come back here, I can take you to Alvast."

"Ah, there's no need to be too hasty. Even if it looks like that, I still haven't found the monster I want to contract with."

Ibane told me that even though he had seen many quite powerful monsters around Bailendra Kingdom, he had yet to find a monster that fulfilled the terms of his contract and he did not want to leave here empty-handed.

Reus stroked his chin to hear Ibane's explanation, wondering if the standard of the Ibane contract was too high or the monsters here were not too strong, before he finally realized something.

"Wait a minute, do you intend to find a dragon to contract with?"

   "Ah, get caught."

Reus' forehead immediately twitched to see Ibane acting so cute, almost reflexively throwing a sword at his back. If it was a girl then Reus would be grateful to see that, but if a guy like Ibane made a similar expression Reus only felt disgusted and annoyed.

Reus sighed for a moment before massaging his forehead which felt a little throbbing.

"You sure you can handle a dragon?"

"Of course, if not where might I endanger myself going to a country full of hatred for my appearance?"

Ibane puffed out her chest while saying so.

Reus himself had already sensed how powerful a dragon was when he was about to enter the Ruins of Seven Dragon King, and it was just an Undead dragon whose strength and abilities had declined far from the time the dragon lived.

If it excluded the Arshwind he could overcome using the hundreds of high-leveled magic that Blackstar had absorbed, it would be, Reus guessed that the original strength of a living dragon was at least stronger than the Wallface of Seven Dragon King and the Four-Headed Dragon King Statue.

Reus does not know for sure how much power Ibane, but on a level should the power of Ibane is not too different from him if Ibane is not an abnormal player like him.

---

Name: Ibane

Level 260

Race : Draconian

---

'Well, the Draconian race should have some advantages over mediocre humans, it is not good to judge someone by his level alone.'

Reus muttered so in his heart after recalling that he was one of the powerful players far from his own level. He did not want to rush to judge and belittle someone he was not too familiar with yet.

Ikshan and Ibane nodded in agreement to Reus's direction. Both are aware that their bodies are still not fully recovered, even if they insist on doing something outside the inn, it can cause one or two problems considering Ikshan is a pure human while Ibane looks similar despite being different races.

After the small talk Reus opened the internet through his Solid Gear Ultimate Edition, he was looking for the latest news about the increasingly heated feud between Bailendra Kingdom and Menschrein Kingdom.

It didn't take long for Reus to get the news he wanted. The conflict between the two countries has gotten worse in recent days, especially when Reus and Ikshan came to Bailendra Kingdom, which most of the citizens suspected was a Menschrein Kingdom spy.

Of course, Reus has repeatedly denied this when questioned his purpose here in every city he came to, he said, but still as a human being in this kind of country whatever Reus says remains useless.

"Oh, Menschrein Kingdom started recruiting Legion players to participate against the war against Bailendra Kingdom?"

It didn't take too smart to know this would happen sooner or later, but there was one thing that made Reus squint his forehead.

"No matter the race of the Legion members, the Menschrein Kingdom will still receive and reward those who participate? What kind of shit is this?"

The Menschrein Kingdom is a land renowned for its doctrine of human superiority among other races, considering the human race to be the best in all races, then the same kingdom wanted to recruit other races that they considered inferior?

For Reus it's the greatest and most self-destructive nonsense he's ever known.

He did not really know the details of what kind of doctrine was embedded in the Human Land, but if this news is true Reus could not understand the mind of the king of Menschrein Kingdom.

As the king of a country of course the king must think about his reputation among the citizens of the kingdom, but what the king is doing today is completely against the wishes of the people of—or at least the doctrine on its citizens. This would lower his reputation as king.

When Reus wanted to draw that conclusion, it seemed possible why the king of Menschrein Kingdom was doing something that was against the doctrine of his kingdom.

"He used war to root out the official non-humans in the player's Legion?"

Reus's face darkened instantly as the idea flashed.

Humans are indeed a race that is quite popular among players because it does not need adjustment before playing, but that does not mean races other than humans are not popular. Not a few special Legions consisting of non-human races on the player's side.

King Menschrein Kingdom did not forget his royal doctrine, it was precisely because of that doctrine that he wanted to kill two birds with one stone in this war.

"But this hidden intention I think can be guessed by anyone. It is precisely the king of Menschrein Kingdom who is naive if a statement like this is able to attract volunteers from the player Legion."

The frown on Reus' face softened before chuckling after thinking back on how stupid this announcement was, even a not-so-smart person like Ramsey would have been able to figure out the obvious peculiarity like this.

Even though Reus thought so, it still could not make him distract. He then read this foolish news in more detail and ascertained which Legion would join the battle later.

Reus is indeed human and he has no connection whatsoever with Bailendra Kingdom which makes him have to join the fight like in the city of Huroud, but seeing the pattern so far is not impossible he was not involved.

Some time later the Region found that there were already several Legion names that intended to help the Menschrein Kingdom. Not much but quite caught his attention, especially the two Legion names that were no stranger to him.

   "Gaia's Tree and Adventador, huh?"
