68. The Unexpected Development

Reus grumbled as he walked into the Class Registration building. How not? He had already received a Quest whose reward was the location of the Class Registration building, but it turned out that the building he was looking for in this city was near the west gate of Bayfrost.

Despite that, he remained excited about entering the building. Well, after all he has managed to earn the right to advance as a Special-Class level player. He did not really consider such a level class special, but with this he could change to a stronger class.

Inside the building he could see several people waiting in line in front of the reception desk. He could also see some armed NPCs standing in another part of the room. It seems that the NPC is an instructor and trainer who usually tests other players or NPCs when they want to take classes.

Reus marched in the line of people in front of the reception desk and it didn't take long until it was his turn.

   "Can anyone help?"

"I want to take my class."

After finishing his sentence Reus picked up a Special-Class Recommendation Letter in the form of a letter inside a small white envelope from his Inventory, then handed the letter to the receptionist.

Actually since he received the letter he was very curious and eager to open and read the contents, but unfortunately the system said another. Just as he was about to open the letter, suddenly a warning panel from the system appeared before him.

---

The warning!

In addition to the receptionist who opens will be subject to a penalty!

Penalty: Loss of Special-Class rights

---

Because of this warning Reus reluctantly returns him to the Inventory. He was actually very curious and eager to open and read it to the point of experiencing frustration that he finally vent to all the Goblins he met in Livetuna.

"Before getting this class you must complete a Quest first."

   'Quest?'

When Reus was slightly astonished, a semi-transparent white panel appeared before his face.

---

There is a monstrous monster in the forest west of Bayfrost city that often haunts hunters and residents who want to go to the western forest. Find and kill the monster!

Mysterious monsters :0/?

---

After reading the Quest description that he had to live in order to get his Special-Class class, Reus put on a sour face. Not only was his predicament at A level, but he also did not know what monsters he had to kill to complete this Quest. Isn't the difficulty too high for Reus now?

   "All right, I'm taking it."

   "{Quest accepted.}"

Without wasting any more time, Reus immediately went to the forest west of the Bayfrost in question from the west gate. He seemed quite happy to have obtained this Quest. Well, for Reus who attached great importance to the speed of completion was certainly the same area of two Quests at once it had greatly dampened his previous annoyance.

***

Once in the forest west of Bayfrost, Reus is greeted by a group of humanoid mob monsters in the form of reddish-brown dogs that walk on two legs while grasping several weapons.

   "Kobold, huh?"

His sword swing was powerful and fast for players of his level, but it was a pity that the Kobold-Kobold was able to overcome Reus' strength and speed. This made Reus a little troubled. But at the same time, Reus also smiled slightly in response to the resistance of these mob monsters.

Reus activated Hollow Swords and took the two black swords in his left hand which of course made the two swords fuse together, while the other three black swords remained hovering around him.

He set his foot shot forward while shaking off the Cross Swing— technique he created for the slash of two swords which both accompanied Swing at once— to one of his opponent's Kobolds. The Kobold did not twitch as soon as it was hit by a powerful slash from Reus that was instantly overtaken by the slash of three black swords hovering around it. Finally Koblod who was attacked by Reus was lying covered in blood not breathing on the ground.

Seeing his partner being killed, the other Kobolds immediately moved about to attack Reus with all their killing ability and intent. Facing directly with several Kobolds at once makes Reus difficult, but he can still overcome it after using Adrenaline Mode.

Acceleration of consciousness and the ability to think as much as 10% of the mastery of adrenaline makes the reflexes and reaction speed of Reus increased sharply. Indeed 10% is not a large number, but when compared to ordinary humans it is quite great.

This really made the Kobolds have difficulty and were repulsed by the increase in the ability of the Reus. Of course Reus did not stay silent and immediately took advantage of this gap once he saw his opponent retreated.

He inhaled as much breath as possible circulating oxygen throughout his veins, then exhaled it along with his footrest which to the point of damaging the ground. Reus darted forward along with Blackstar and the black sword in his right and left hand.

   "Wild Style: Double Anchor!"

In one breath Reus had already gone through five Kobold figures whose bodies had been split apart by a single strike from two swords belonging to Reus. Looking at the remaining two Kobolds, Reus immediately took one breath of as much volume as possible and darted back this time towards the rest of his opponent's Kobolds.

Zraaat!

The two Kobold heads were immediately cut off as Reus' sword accompanied by Swing passed through their necks. Reus automatically wins this fight. He unleashed his Hollow Swords skill and sheathed Blackstar back on his back. As he did that, Reus saw a semi-transparent panel floating in front of his face.

   "{Congratulations, you get a skill!}"

Found the contents of the semi-transparent panel, Reus widened his eyes immediately. How not? He obtained a skill without using the Emblem Skill? Isn't that impossible for most players?

While swallowing his saliva and surprise, Reus opened up what skills he got and read the explanation.

Reus' breathing was restrained once he knew what skill he had. At first he did not know that special breathing techniques could be used in the virtual world, but it turned out that this proved to be real and directly felt by his own body.

While he was still recovering from his shock regarding the Breathing Power skill he obtained, Reus got a shock from his second semi-transparent panel to this day.

"{You managed to master the skill without using the Emblem Skill! Congratulations, you have the title Skill Inventor!}"

After reading his latest title explanation, Reus could say nothing but 'aaaa' spontaneously coming out of his mouth that was wide open like a cave for small insects.
