180. Before Going

After Ikshan returned to the inn, he immediately met Reus who was in his middle room making so many Potions. He needed to replenish his supplies after the big battle.

"Woah, you're like a crazy alchemist who's been grinding Potions lately."

"Well, no one knows what happened next, right? The supplies should always be ready to wear."

Reus gave a small smile in response to Ikshan's words on the doorstep of his room, as did Ikshan who smiled at him.

"This is an invitation from the king, he said he was free to enter the palace at any time with the invitation."

Ikshan threw a letter containing the invitation that Aulcrat gave right in front of Reus sitting down. The silver-haired youth immediately stopped his activities of converting certain materials into Potions, he then opened and read the letter.

Reus only looked at the contents of the invitation at a glance, there was no need to read too much detail to know the contents. After all, without the invitation letter even though he could go in and out of the palace freely as Ikshan did.

Even the palace troops would not be able to stop him without at least ten Elite Knights to block his path.

   "Well, when should we go?"

"Perhaps soon? We have to take Whitestar on Shadow Mountain and look for clues to free Arshwind in Bailendra Kingdom, right? Faster is better."

Reus rubbed his chin for a moment contemplating Ikshan's words. Moments later Reus got up from the bed and stored all of his handmade Potions into the Inventory, then stepped closer to Ikshan while taking out the Dragon Slayer Sword.

"Then can I ask you to improve the Dur status of this sword again? I'll pay you if you refuse to fix it for free."

"There's no need to be like that, Reus. How much do you think I owe you for standing up to this kind of strength now?"

Ikshan smiled dryly in response to Reus' words. Although he objected to the declining speed of Reus's sword Dur status which he thought was the fastest weapon destroyer he knew of, Ikshan would not take a penny of the cost from Reus to fix it.

Aside from being able to be here with a power that he had never imagined before, the materials refining the status of the Dur Dragon Slayer Sword were provided by Reus himself. Ikshan only needed to hit his hammer a few times, not wasting too much energy or time.

   "Then I won't hesitate."

Reus then handed the Dragon Slayer Sword along with a dozen pieces of Dragon Scale to Ikshan, making the man frown.

"Reus, this is a little overkill, you know? Fixing this sword only required about one Dragon Scale piece every 300 Dur statuses."

"Well, consider it a bonus from me. I have hundreds of useless scales."

After saying so Reus stepped away from Ikshan who was now scratching his head with astonishment.

"Didn't he remember what I said about the price of the Dragon Scale which could reach 50,000 Byl per piece?"

Ikshan shook his head while letting out a sigh of contention, he then sighed heavily for a moment before going to his room repairing the Dragon Slayer Sword.

***

Reus had a lot of free time after languishing in his room for a few days to train Telekinesis and make as many Potions as possible. He felt the need to refresh himself once in a while.

Reus took a deep breath as he felt the fresh air outside.

"It's been a long time since I've inhaled any scent other than the smell of Potions."

After being satisfied with the smell of air, Reus' attention was now on a table where three people he knew gathered. Kynel, Dunk, and Crystina. Reus immediately recognized Crystina in an instant due to Ogre's features as well as his striking greatsword.

Reus then walked closer to the three.

"Oh Reus, have you collected enough Potions?"

Kynel is first aware of Reus' existence, followed by Dunk and Crystina who now look at Reus.

"Tell me already, even if the numbers are still unsatisfactory."

''The number of Potions made for several days without stopping was still not enough?!''

The three involuntarily compactly screamed inwardly, wanting to call out Reus directly yet still affectionately level and Item within their Inventory.

The arrival of Reus made the situation between them awkward, none of them wanted to open the subject until someone's voice broke the silence.

"Yo, you guys want lunch too? It's so fucking stupid."

As usual Ramsey who could not read the atmosphere came and destroyed the awkward situation, he came carrying Gordon in his arms which made Reus stand up from the chair and immediately move away.

   "What's wrong with you, Reus?"

"Ask that one more time and I'll take out your pet cat."

   "Stop with what?"

Reus' hand wanted to grab the sword on his back when Ikshan replied to him but he forgot, he was currently not preparing any weapons because it gave the Dragon Slayer Sword to Ikshan for repair.

Reus' cheeks flushed slightly when he realized his hand was reaching for nothing but air, he cleared his throat slowly before raising his voice again without turning his sharp gaze away from Ramsey.

"If there is no sword, I will use my hands and feet."

"Reus, you're a swordsman while I'm a martial artist. Are you sure you can beat me with your bare hands?"

Ramsey put on a triumphant smile while slightly raising his chin, while Reus glared at him. Reus doesn't believe he lost a fight with Ramsey, someone whose brain is a little troubled.

In the end Reus could only swallow his anger and sit in one of the nearby chairs. He had no intention of returning to his seat which had been currently occupied by Ramsey and Gordon.

Reus and Ikshan's silly conversation drew laughter from Kynel, Dunk, and Crystina. They wanted to hold back the laughter but to no avail.

Reus sat down while holding back the embarrassment while Ramsey did not understand what the three were laughing at, she instead ordered food for lunch without intending to continue her debate with Reus.

"All right, just laugh. Reus, is there anything you want to tell us?"

Crystina who first raised her voice when she managed to stop laughing. The attention of Ramsey, Kynel, and Dunk was now on the silver-haired young man sitting not far from them.

Reus raised his eyebrows feeling surprised suddenly noticed, but he came here just to look for fresh air after days locked himself in the room to recharge his Potion supplies.

He looked at the four people who were now staring at him curiously. Reus sighed before raising his voice.

"I've got an invitation from the king, we can enter the palace at any time and I plan to leave tomorrow with Ikshan."

Reus' statement invited his fourth forehead to shrivel, especially Crystina whose face looked so bad.

"Reus, this invitation could have been a trap for you to come to the palace and be surrounded using all their strength. You didn't think it was coming, did you?"

"Sorry chairman Crystina, currently out there the Order of Chaos is gathering forces and allies in preparation for a major war in the future. Even if this world is just a game, I can't see NPCs being slaughtered and ruthlessly enslaved by savage hands."

The words of Reus managed to make Crystina and the others raise eyebrows, they wanted to curse Reus for daring to say so without guilt after slaughtering hundreds to thousands of Lavore Kingdom soldiers some time ago.

"What's? They're blocking my way back to Blackstar, of course I'll annihilate anyone who comes against me without exception."

Reus was apparently able to read his fourth thought accurately even without similar skills, they just laughed embarrassedly in response.

"By the way, head of Crystina, this might be your chance to build a estate with Lavore Kingdom and earn their trust in order to replace Gaia's Tree in this country. Didn't you think of this?"

Reus' words this time successfully made Crystina interested, now the red-haired woman accompanied by a black horn on her forehead looked at Reus seriously.

"Before you mentioned it no, but now I'm interested."
