208. Blackmoon Dwarves

   "Nothing in there?"

   "It's unfortunate, yes."

On returning to the inn Reus recounted all of his inventions in the Ruins of Seven Dragon King, including reliefs to the Four-Headed Dragon King Statue which became the hardest Dungeon Boss he had ever fought.

He also put forward the results of his hypothesis about the reliefs that are connected with the ancient fairy tale presented by Ikshan, Dragonregin. According to Reus the two are indeed related or maybe one story, not even impossible relief in the boss room and Dragonregin was real in the past.

   "So our goal now is to find out the truth about this fairy tale?"

Reus shook his head slowly rejecting Ikshan's suggestion.

   "For now what we need to prioritize is the request of King Lavore Kingdom which is clearly real, which is looking for a Dwarf named Nocht Alvarion."

   "Ah, regarding that I've got some information."

   "Oh? Then let me hear it."

According to the information obtained by Ikshan after traveling around the city for several hours, he found that there was a Dwarf who was characterized as Nocht in the Capital of Bailendra Kingdom, which he had, a reliable and dark-skinned forger as a hallmark of the Blackmoon Dwarf.

Aulcrat himself had indeed conveyed Nocht's trademark Blackmoon Dwarf to Reus, but he was a little incredulous when he received a request that required him to look for a Blackmoon Dwarf.

Blackmoon Dwarves are one of the variants of the Dwarf race in Orbis Online, one of the rare races that are difficult to find because their residence is quite closed from the outside world. This was because in addition to being rare every Blackmoon Dwarf had forging skills that were touted as the best in the entire Plainfest.

Reus initially knew this rumor vaguely, but later he learned that the Blackmoon Dwarf's hands and fingers were indeed miraculous after witnessing the work of some of Nocht's subordinates who still survived in Lavore Kingdom.

The Blackmoon Dwarves were able to forge a weapon that was almost as level as the Great Grega in a few nights. If it wasn't for Aulcrat asking for a large number of equipment after the battle against Reus earlier then its quality might have rivaled even the Great Grega.

   "So, this Dwarf named Nocht opened a private shop in Dragnar, the capital of Bailendra Kingdom?"

   "His name is not Nocht, but if based on the characteristics and testimony of the people around him is indeed Blackmoon Dwarf."

Ikshan also added that the Equip sold by the Dwarves suspected by them of being Nocht was not very impressive, even for the size of an ordinary Dwarf.

In various Dwarf stories often said to be races specialized in the field of forging, the Dwarf background on Orbis Online is also no different. Dwarves in this world are also very very fond and superior when it comes to handicrafts.

One of Mirage's friends Reus' sister who has Blacksmith class, Fira is also a Dwarf. Those who choose this race in character creation will instantly get the Smithing skill to forge as one of their superior innate race skills.

The Blackmoon Dwarves were a variant of the Dwarf race that earned the grace of forging more than any other Dwarf variant so it always carved their name as the best forge in various generations throughout the Plainfest, then why the race with superior abilities actually only produce quality Equip below the Dwarf standard?

   "Hm.... Is it possible to avoid attention?"

   "No, if this is exactly the opposite. Look at us who are in the Border Town of Alaveil like this can hear the news about it, how is it called avoiding attention?"

When comparing it to an ordinary human forger like Ikshan might be considered high because Ikshan himself is able to remodel Reus' Dragon Equip series which is actually Ultra-level, in fact, but for ordinary Dwarf size let alone Blackmoon Dwarf abilities like this could be said to be of the lower middle level.

   "Wait, did he really want to be searched on purpose?"

The sentence Reus uttered out made Ikshan frown in confusion. Reus could see Ikshan's confusion and pin down his possibilities.

   "I mean, if there's a low-ability Blackmoon Dwarf doesn't that mean they really want to be found by someone who understands what that means?"

Reus' words further confused Ikshan. Reus scratched his head for a moment realizing his explanation was still ambiguous. He then took out a piece of paper and a pen available on the table, then explained his meaning in more detail with pictures.

   "You know that the Blackmoon Dwarves live separately from the outside world, right?"

   "Yes, it was because they were often targeted by people to be sold as slaves or even killed in order to gain their forging abilities."

   "Right, that's why the Blackmoon Dwarves' existence is so hard to find other than where they live."

Reus then attributed this to the events that had befallen Lavore Kingdom in the past five years.

   "Yes, then what's up with that?"

   "Look, the Chaos Race or at least the Order of Chaos was a gigantic organization that was currently gathering a massive force to invade Plainfest in the future so they needed everything that could increase their strength."

Reus added that Nocht, who is a Blackmoon Dwarf, was known to be in another country even if it was far from Lavore Kingdom, Lucius Maen'ra would not miss the chance to keep him in prison and force Nocht to become one of the special forges for the Order of Chaos due to his ability which was touted as one of the Miracle Craftmaster throughout Plainfest.

   "Then, why is he so self-indulgent and eye-catching? Isn't hiding avoiding attention safer? Why would he take the risk?"

   "My friend Ikshan, did you know that false information is more dangerous than nothing?"

Ikshan was silent as soon as Reus said those words, his eyes looking at the silvery-white-haired young man before him with shock and admiration. He never expected Reus to be able to read such a possibility with just a few pieces of information.

Reus gave a small smile looking at Ikshan's reaction before explaining further that in the present situation the Chaos Order would focus its attention on pure power and ability, especially after the guise of Lucius Maen'ra possessing Aulcrat was dismantled by Reus.

It was likely that the Chaos Order would panic and start gathering strength as soon as possible without paying too much attention to the details of gathering information. This can then be used by Nocht.

   "If he is weak then ignore him, if he is strong then recruit and if not want to join kill before he fights. That's the mindset of a strong man. If you know this then everything is very simple."

   "simple?"

Ikshan scratched his head in confusion as to what kind of reaction to Reus was now. He wanted to praise the young man for his reasoning regarding the possible reasons Nocht disguised his name and ability, but at the same time wanted to hit Reus for saying such a complicated thing was simple.

After the discussion session Reus and Ikshan finally decided to go to the Capital of Bailendra Kingdom, Dragnar to meet the Blackmoon Dwarf who might be Nocht in disguise after discussing it more in a while.
