Orbis Online
151. Escaping IV

The massacre in the prison continued until some time later. None of the soldiers escaped Reus' sword, especially when Reus used Telekinesis to draw them back inside.

"Ah, this is a little terrible."

Reus stepped away from the bodies of the soldiers. Although the sight full of blood had been censored by the system thanks to its arrangement, Reus still felt uneasy staring at the dozens of bodies.

As Reus returned to the side of the prisoners, he found that many of the prisoners were busy removing their entrails due to the sight in front of them. Reus did not feel offended that it was indeed natural for NPCs.

Sylph had since noticed Reus' action from her cell, repeatedly holding her breath and swallowing her saliva. If not for seeing Reus' abilities with his own eyes, Sylph still thought the reason Reus was imprisoned was simply something exaggerated.

Reus's steps did not stop until he arrived in front of Sylph's cell. He crouched back and looked at the man.

"So, what do you think? Can you help me take back my sword? I can also help you get your revenge if you want to."

"You kidding? I don't think you need my help to take out all the soldiers in this town."

"It's true, but I'm an ordinary human being who has boundaries, especially my stamina which is often problematic."

Sylph looked at Reus from the bottom up intending to find Reus' weakness but he was unable to find it, even he was hard to accept that Reus had a problem with his stamina after finishing off dozens of soldiers without sweating a thread.

Sylph closed her eyes for a moment about to think more about Reus' offer but as she was thinking they had more soldiers coming.

"They must have heard the screams of these soldiers. I should've stuffed their mouths with their headgear using telekinesis."

Reus had cursed to see so many soldiers who came and rose again. Before going to take care of the soldiers, Reus turned his attention to Sylph.

"I can't wait forever for your decision. Your time to decide is only until I'm done with them."

After saying so Reus came forward and swung his sword, beginning to take the lives of the soldiers who came one after another.

Sylph watched as Reus played the sword agilely despite wearing armor that looked heavy from his cell. There was no wasted Reus movement, each swing of his sword was capable of slashing one or two people.

"Rivera, could this be my chance? After being locked up here with a lie I haven't done in five years?"

Sylph closed her eyes as she muttered so, beginning to recall her past while still a noble.

At that time Sylph was only a great magician with some high achievements recognized by the king until he got the title of nobility and was awarded a territory to rule. Sylph accepted the gift with pleasure.

Sylph ruled a barren and bad territory, its citizens were also difficult to manage because it included the periphery of the kingdom that is often neglected. But all of that can be solved by Sylph. He turned that barren place with no hope of life into one of the richest regions in the entire Lavore Kingdom in just a few years.

Of course, what makes it all materialize is none other than thanks to its magic power so great that it is able to change the topography of the environment.

Sylph's life gets even better when she manages to build a family with a woman she calls her wife.

Unfortunately, that didn't last long.

Sylph's great achievements not only drew praise but also jealousy and doom. Many nobles disliked Sylph and considered Sylph a threat to them.

One day when Sylph went to the capital to report to the king, she was ambushed by a mysterious group. Sylph who felt unable to win then decided to go towards the area around her territory that she knew well.

Unfortunately when Sylph lost her attention, the mysterious group cast a large-scale magic on her territory, ravaging the entire place. No one survived that much magic.

Sylph was consumed by anger and began attacking blindly until the mysterious group left. Sylph lost consciousness after going on an all-out rampage.

When Sylph regains consciousness, she awakens in a prison cell. Both his hands and feet were shackled by the anti-magic chain.

The prison warden explained that he was detained because he had destroyed and killed citizens in his own territory.

At first, Sylph denied this, but when the trial began, there was a witness from a noble, she stated that there was no mistake in Sylph's actions.

How did Sylph know that it was a trap from another noble for her? One of the nobles came and told him the true events in order to make Sylph even worse.

Sylph let out a heavy sigh as she recalled her past, a time where she was so blinded by the fake smile of the world that she forgot how cruel life was.

   "Have you made a decision?"

The voice of Reus who had just returned after finishing off the soldiers rang out in his ears, Sylph opened her eyes then looked at the silver-haired young man behind her cell.

"Is that all you want? I'm helping you find a sword?"

Reus insists that they must not kill innocent or uninvolved people.

"Is that so? If that's true, I'll help you."

Sylph nodded softly agreeing to Reus' earlier offer. The silver-haired young man immediately opened the prison door with the warden's key then removed the anti-magic chain that had bound Sylph for many years.

"Ah, how glad this chain is to be released."

Sylph's face was so overjoyed when she felt the magic power back flowing throughout her body. It had been a long time since he was able to exert magic. He rubbed his wrists for a moment while smiling lightly.

Different from Sylph who dissolves into her feelings of joy, Reus opens his Inventory looking for some special Equip witches that he might have. Not much but enough for one person.

He took out the Equip and gave it to Sylph.

"Use this. I don't know how much of your magic power has weakened since prison or how powerful magic is, but this is the best witch kit I have.

"Are you a swordsman or a witch? Why do you have special equipment for witches?"

"Many ask that but believe me, you don't want to face me as a witch."

After saying so Reus wore his trademark skull mask behind his head protection to avoid unnecessary attention.

Reus can guess how excited the Orbis Online community is if he really starts a war against an empire alone, then he must keep his identity from the public.

He also took the time to send a message to Ikshan to wear a mask.

"Are you ready to be the biggest fugitive in Lavore Kingdom today?"

Reus glanced at Sylph who had just finished wearing Reus's magician-given equipment. His lips revealed a full smile.

"This is a rare chance for revenge, why should I refuse?"

Sylph replied to Reus with a similar smile. His hand was already grasping a 30-centimeter long magic wand ready to exert magic.

Before he got out of prison, Reus looked at the other prisoners who had become calmer with their equipment. Even if it sounds like a suicide mission, either they don't look afraid of the possible death before them.

"I'm not asking you to come face to face with the soldiers because it will only take your lives. Sylph and I will distract the soldiers while you look for an opening to get out of here."

The prisoners nodded in understanding Reus' plan. No one disputes it because it is wrong that a little death can pick them up.

"Alright, then hide until the attention of the soldiers is completely distracted."

After saying so Reus stepped towards the exit with Sylph. Both are ready to face hundreds to thousands of soldiers out there today.

Author

Hi, long time no see in this work. It's been months, huh? I just want to tell you the reason why the update Orbis Online is so slow up to 1 chapter a month

First, I am focusing on continuing my main work other than Orbis Online, Absolute Soul is here because it is nearing the climax of its first volume. Because the World Building is also quite complicated and there are many things I have to do at RL, so I decided to focus on Absolute Soul first until the end.

Relax, it does not mean Orbis Online abandoned. I still write Orbis Online but in small frequency.

Second, if I have to be honest I am in a difficult time so I can not focus too much on writing and the quality of my writing decreases quite far. No need to think about or find out my condition, just please be aware that the slow update is half dead.

Third, actually because in these difficult times I tried to collect the Orbis Online chapter up enough to earn a minimum income.

Yes, I wanted to spend my minimum income allotment first before finishing Orbis Online, so I had already saved quite a number of chapters. When the number of chapters is eligible then I can make sure Orbis Online can be updated regularly for a month.

I am not a talented writer or hard worker like other writers in this place, my mood is still unstable and it affects my writing as well if you are observant enough to pay attention.

So yes, maybe that's all I want to say, if I see you next month!

Just pray I can qualify the chapter so that next month can be periodic updates.
