Orbis Online
45. The attack on Redgard

With the appearance of the Gigantic Wormtail towering 20 meters from the ground and having a middle circumference of approximately 10 meters, the residents of Redgard NPC panicked not to be trapped. They immediately ran to find a safe place, but it was not allowed by the monster.

The Gigantic Wormtail opened its mouth filled with hundreds of sharp little teeth and let out the vomit of insect-type mob monsters with a level of at least 50 and a maximum of 90. Of course, the NPCs who were panicking were running around to save themselves to become the swarm of these insect mob monsters.

Gigantic Wormtail itself is one of the lowest level mob monsters in the 90s, in the form of a giant earthworm that has no eyes. Even so, the Gigantic Wormtail that attacked Redgard city was now a Gigantic Wormtail with a level 160s.

The specialty of Gigantic Wormtail is a special skill that can make dozens of party hassles at once, namely Larger Belly. This skill allows the Gigantic Wormtail to eat anything and store it in the stomach, then he can vomit or remove what he has eaten freely.

In that case, the Gigantic Wormtail would have eaten hundreds of—no, thousands of insect-type mob monsters stored in its stomach. This Larger Belly skill was very effective in making surprise attacks like now, but there were certain restrictions that made him unable to keep anything higher than his own level.

The players who were near the scene immediately rushed off to fight and hold back the insect-type mob monster released by the Gigantic Wormtail, which was the only one, but because of the large number of these small monsters they can not hold it all.

Most of the players who participated into this affair were those who had levels above 80 and had already changed their Bronze-Class classes to Silver-Class. Right, Class Up.

Class Up is an Orbis Online system that is able to turn a player class into its advanced level class without affecting the level. Class Up itself generally increases the class of players into a higher class and stronger than before, then multiply the development of players.

Through Class Up players can develop into players who are no longer too attached to the previous class. If there was a player who had a Swordsman class and took Swordmage as his Class Up target towards the Silver-Class, then he could develop into a Mage more than just a Swordsman.

Remember the skill contained in the Class Necklace? Yes, Class Necklace will provide basic skills that will be taken later. If a Swordsman class player takes the Swordmage Class Necklace, then he can get the Magic Arts skill which is the basic skill of a Mage and increase his Sword Arts skill level simultaneously.

That is the advantage of taking a top-level class which is a combined class.

Usually Class Up for Bronze-Class to Silver-Class level will be accessible to both players and NPCs when it reaches level 80, but certain players manage to get this opportunity while still at the level of the 70s.

It is rumored that Class Up does not depend on the number of levels, but the influence of skill mastery and the level of status of a player. Players who managed to get to Class Up earlier themselves said that they had their own way of gaining this special access, but they all confirmed that it was neither from Items nor the result of buying items.

One similar answer from them is 'ability, effort, and luck'.

This was especially echoed in the hearts of the players when all the players who got special Class Up access were invited by one of the shows on the Orbis Channel. Many players were motivated by that one sentence, but hardly anyone else managed to gain access to this particular Class Up once it happened.

Many speculations from players that the Deraft Corporation as a developer restricts access to this particular Class Up, but all the speculation was rejected outright by the core development team who knew the ins and outs of Orbis Online perfectly.

Back to topic.

Gigantic Wormtail and his army of insect-type mob monsters had already managed to destroy nearly one-fifth of the city of Redgard, this made players and NPCs slowly become desperate.

Although Redgard's Defensive Army—the Redgard— city's NPC defense force came to help, they couldn't do much because almost all of its NPC soldiers were average in their 40s. With such a low level, of course they won't be able to give a lot of help to players. Instead, they were just a heavy and troublesome burden.

   "Scott, watch behind me!"

"It's easy to talk like that, you little bastard! I'm busy knowing too!"

   "I'm busier than you know!"

In the midst of the players and NPCs fighting against the attacks of insect-type mob monsters and Gigantic Wormtail, there was a pair of young men who were overwhelmed by the crowd of insect monsters in front of him.

One of the young men was a short blond brunette, red eyed, took on the human race, and classy Swordwielder— Advanced grade Silver-Class Swordsman level. He was grasping his second bladed sword and swinging it slashing at every monster he could slash within his attacking range.

While the classy Swordwielder overcame the monster crowd at close range, the player he spoke to drew and unleashed several arrows at once hitting a number of nearby mob monsters.

This player has bright green hair, dark green eyes, a body that is quite tall and direct, then the shape of his ears are a little longer than ordinary humans. Yes, this player takes the Elf race and Sharpshooter— class Advanced grade Archer Silver-Class level.

"Damn it, they're endless oi! Cross Frontier!"

Drank used one of his skills called Cross Frontier, a skill that made an X-shaped slash in the air as fast as possible with a single sword destroying the enemy before him. Too bad, it is not so influential because the quantity of the enemy is too terrible.

   "Curtain, Multiple Blazing Arrow!!"

Scott who was on the roof of a house also did not want to lose to Drank so he issued one of his flagship skills that made dozens of fallen enemies, Multiple Blazing Arrow.

This skill is not an official skill, but the combined skill of Multiple Arrow that can double the number of arrows up to ten times and Blazing Arrow that makes arrows burn fire produces greater damage.

Right, not Reus himself who had realized that the skills in the world of Orbis Online could be changed. In addition to Reus, Scott also managed to get the title of Skill Modifier because it managed to change the basis of a skill into another skill outside the system. This is called Skill Modifier.

The efforts of the two players were already very good under normal conditions, but for abnormal conditions like this it was not enough to resist let alone repel these monsters.

They slowly lost hope and fighting spirit until they wanted to surrender, but at that very moment a wave of fire slashes appeared from behind and scorched a third of the enemies they were fighting. Both of them were very surprised to see it looking back.

There was a woman of the Ogre race, about 180 centimeters tall, carrying a giant iron sword over her shoulders, and several people who were seen following her from behind.

   "That-that's..."

"The relief force from Crimson Castle? And again the one leading is Crimson Surt!?"

The appearance of Crimson Surt—a.k.a Crystina who is the chairman of the Crimson Castle— Legion and the members behind it make Scott and Drank sculpt. They didn't know what to say, but they were really surprised to see the epic entrance of Crystina and co.

In the front row, Crystina flicked her left hand out of her chest while shouting for direction.

"Everything's scattered all over town! Finish off all the bug monsters that attacked Redgard!"

   ""Ready!!""

In one command, everyone behind Crystina jumped up and ran to and fro in almost every direction. In just over half a minute, the place was already empty of players who were members of Crimson Castle following him from behind.

Crystina also advanced to approach Drank who looked battered in front of a crowd of insect monsters. He also saw Scott who had fought hard and helped reduce these mob monsters.

"Good work, you can rest. Even if you don't seem to be a member of Crimson Castle, go to our Legion building and rest there for a bit."

While saying that, Crystina looked at the insect-type mob monsters in front of her with horrifying eyes. It made all the monsters there stop moving as if frozen in place.

Not strong enough to withstand the onslaught of monsters since then, Scott and Drank obeyed Crystina's orders. They retreated and fled the place as quickly as possible due to their fear of Crystina.

Crystina herself let out a horrible smile while looking at the mob monsters who were her enemies.

He leaped high up, then swung his giant sword vertically making the ground around crumble and the insect-type mob monsters there died in one strike. It was one of the deadly attacks belonging to this female player who was kidnapped by Crimson Surt, Vertical Death.

This left the surrounding land not only destroyed, but also raised high destroying several buildings there. This was only a fifth of the destructive power that was said to be extraordinary, so just imagine the destruction that he could cause if it unleashed its full power.

"Here go let me take you all, assholes!!"

One more slash he sent out made all the mob monsters there melt helplessly. All the monsters that were hit by his attack died in an instant without exception. No one can escape when hit by a crushing attack, that's Crimson Surt.
