163. The Crimson Castle

Once on the ground floor, Reus was surprised by a group of people wearing armor with a certain red dominant emblem. The atmosphere of the inn became so heavy thanks to the group.

   "Oh, Reus! Over here!"

Reus's gaze was shifted to a table with about four people sitting around the table. The two people sitting at the table had faces that were recognizable to Reus, namely Kynel and Ramsey.

The attention of the armored troupe was automatically fixed on Reus whose appearance was not so different from ordinary NPCs. If not for the player's cursor soaring above his head, perhaps the troupe would have thought Reus was an NPC.

Reus walked up to the table before his steps came to a halt as his gaze was fixed on a small winged cat perched on Ramsey's shoulder. Reus sharpened his eyes on Ramsey.

"Hey Ramsey, get rid of the cat first before I get rid of it."

"Well, why do you always do that with Gordon? Look now he's shaking because of your cold attitude."

Ramsey grabbed Gordon who was shuddering at Reus and rubbed his head affectionately with a warm smile.

"I don't care. Get rid of him or I'll get rid of him."

Unpleasant Eve began to emanate from Reus' body to make the entourage to be alert, while Ramsey only put on a pouting face while singing his lips feel not so happy.

He sighed for a moment before apologizing to Gordon and returning him to the Pet Realm, the special dimension where the player's pet monster lived.

   "Hows it? Already satisfied?"

Reus was still looking at Ramsey for a while. He then pulled an uncomfortable air that had broken out of his body and stepped back toward the table.

The armoured troupe that stood not far from there was made confused by Reus. How could a player of the 150s unleash such intense hostility and then pull back so easily as if nothing had happened?

In a moment of confusion, two faces unrecognized by Reus made an attractive expression. Especially a red-haired woman with a small horn on her forehead who was sitting while folding two hands in front of her chest.

"Good day, chief Crystina. Thank you for answering my invitation."

"There's no need to do that, Ramsey's friend is my friend. Please sit down before entering the core of the conversation you want to discuss."

Reus nodded slowly then sat down on the empty chair at the table.

"Hmm, your level is still in the 150s but it is able to repel the Lavore Kingdom army by yourself.... What an amazing achievement."

"It's an honor to receive praise from Crimson Surt but if I have to be frank, I'm not alone but with someone at that time."

Crystina smiled without removing the interested expression looking at Reus, while Reus himself only returned his smile while being as polite as possible to the woman in front of him.

True, the little red-haired woman with the little horn on her forehead is Crystina, the head of the Crimson Castle Legion who is feared as Crimson Surt by some players. He's here to answer an invitation from Reus that was forwarded through Ramsey as his intermediary.

"Well, leave the bases aside, do you really have the Item that Ramsey showed?"

Crystina nodded slowly then raised her voice again after confirming what kind of person this young man in front of her was.

Reus was not offended by Crystina's more powerful attitude but in her current state, she didn't have much choice. He opened the Inventory and took something from it, showing it to Crystina.

"This is the item I'm referring to, chief."

Crystina's eyes were fixed on the two-handed greatsword that was on Reus' lap. His view was inseparable from the sword called Great Grega even though Ramsey and one other person tried to resuscitate him.

Crystina regained her senses from her daydream and then cleared her throat for a moment, making Reus chuckle as if the woman in front of her was so funny. Distinct from its fierce appearance.

"You really have the Ultra Equip Item."

"I wouldn't dare ask Crimson Surt for help if it wasn't so."

After the big laugh that filled the inn disappeared, only then did Crystina's gaze become sharper as if she wanted to stab Reus with her gaze.

"But, asking the Crimson Castle chief's help straight away was a little disrespectful."

Reus gave a small smile in response to Crystina's statement, unafraid of Crimson Surt's gaze.

"I know my actions are disrespectful but the situation urges me enough to do so."

Even if the two were just looking at each other, the people around were not stupid enough to not realize that there were two invisible auras clashing between Reus and Crystina. NPC lodgers until crowded made both while the entourage shuddering in fear began to infiltrate the heart.

The two clashing auras grew larger as time went on until another aura separated the auras of the two accompanied by the carefree voice of Ramsey.

"Stop that Reus, chairman too. We're not here to fight."

Ramsey's words awakened the two who had unknowingly built an atmosphere that supported the fight. Reus and Crystina both cleared the atmosphere, although it was already destroyed could not be melted.

"I admit that your great sword is stronger than my Griselga's Fang but, it's not enough to make me and some of Crimson Castle's power move hostilely towards Lavore Kingdom."

"Actually the chairman, I'm just asking Ramsey and the chairman for help. There is no need to exert the power of Crimson Castle."

Reus' statement invited many parties to frown, including the entourage berzirah not far from there. Both Cyrstina, Ramsey, Kynel, and one other person also shriveled.

"Reus, isn't it impossible to fight a single country's military might with just a few people?"

Kynel was the first to react. Crystina and Ramsey nodded in agreement with Kynel.

"Actually it's not so impossible, I've proven it and chairman Crystina must have felt the same way."

Reus ruffled Kynel's hair as he said so before smiling at Crystina. He still remembered well about the Monstrous Invasion that invaded Redgard, the city that became the headquarters of Crimson Castle.

There were thousands of monsters attacking from inside and outside the city but all were overcome by the cooperation of Crimson Castle members with other players around the city. The biggest contribution to the incident fell to Crystina because it had eradicated the Gigantic Wormtail which was the cause of the arrival of the monsters.

Crystina smiled faintly in response to Reus' statement, feeling not wrong but not right.

"You know, an army of soldiers and a horde of monsters are very different. Have you ever been in a situation similar to a monster?"

"Oh chief, you won't believe what I've been through lately with monsters."

Reus tells the story of himself being on the front line with Ramsey during the war in the village of Viredeta. After that he also had a life and death fight against three Knights at once level much higher than him, followed by fighting thousands of Snow Trolls and Yeti on his way here.

Finally there is also a great battle that is unknown to anyone except those involved in it, namely the battle in Mount Horen.

Reus did not explain the details, but he said that until now he had gone through three big battles against monsters. If it were to add a battle against the Lavore Kingdom warriors recently then the total would be four.

Crystina was stunned to hear all of Reus's stories, as well as everyone who heard them. If only they had not seen the Great Grega which was the Ultra Equip in Reus' lap, then they had assumed Reus's talk had just been nonsense.

"You are far beyond my expectations. Join Crimson Castle and I will fulfill your entire request as long as I can."

"Sorry chairman Cyrstina, but I don't want to be tied to any Legion."

Most of the armored troupe glared slightly at Reus who refused Crystina's invitation raw, different reaction to one beside Crystina who was now standing while pounding the table.

"You! I've refrained from getting angry since Miss Crystina respects you, but you've gone too far!"

He looked at Reus with an expression of anger and pointed at him.

"I, Bradley Geordany, captain of Crimson Castle, challenge you to a duel!"
