57. The End of Viredeta

   "Reus, I'll distract them for a bit and take advantage of that gap."

   "okay."

While running forward, Reus and Ramsey planned a simple strategy before attacking. Although Ramsey likes to rely on his instincts, but this time he is with Reus who is much weaker than himself. At least he should put Reus first which could have been game over at any time.

   "You back off, let me serve them."

On the part of the elite monster group itself seems to underestimate its opponent—especially the distended Hobgoblin. They didn't take the horses or anything because they thought they were both—Ramsey and Reus— were ordinary humans. Unfortunately, that assumption is wrong.

The hobgoblin stepped slightly forward, then stomped its magic wand to the ground violently and several Undead race monster figures with Skeleton monster names poked out from within the ground. The Undead figures immediately charged towards the two humans who were galloping towards them.

Right, this bloated Hobgoblin is a Necromancer.

Necromancer itself is one of the Silver-Class-level classes that comes from the Mage class or the like. This class is able to call back the lives and spirits of the dead and raise them, but it cannot restore their souls and common sense. In addition, those who take the Necromancer class can fully control the bodies they have raised—unless the dead bodies of the players of course.

The owner of this class only has an advantage on his Int status, but every time the level increases then the addition of his Int status is doubled by two because the superior status is only one. Therefore the Necromancers were very quickly getting stronger.

The weakness of this class is direct attack. As great as the Necromancer controlled the Undead, it was likely that physical statuses like Vit, Str, and Dex were completely unenhanced and focused only on Int alone in order to strengthen the Undead that were under their control. But, certainly not all Necromancers were like that.

Sometimes there are Necromancers who can defend themselves using magic or martial arts. Usually that type of Necromancer is called a Magic Necromancer or Brawler Necromancer. They were quite formidable opponents, but other than his Undead army there was nothing to worry about too much.

   "Smuch, just interrupt."

Feeling himself underrated, Reus kicked the ground with all his might and darted to destroy the Undead in just one Flash Swing slash. Ramsey just smiled at Reus's actions just now.

   "Hoo, you guys are pretty strong as well."

The Hobgoblin showed a smile of joy accompanied by bad intentions. He did not expect that there were humans who could finish off his Skeleton in one attack, but it was just a mere trial.

He again struck his wand, but what appeared this time was a tall creature resembling a four-meter-high lump of flesh, having about ten pairs of hands and feet totaling three pairs. In each palm of his hand there is an eyeball embedded there and this monster does not have a mouth to devour his prey.

Reus had shuddered at the disgusting form, but he did not have time for it.

   "Hecatoncheires Undead version, huh?"

Hecatoncheires was one of the high-level mob monsters or for Reus and his level players could be considered Mini-Boss. This monster is inspired from ancient Greek mythology which is the son of Uranus and Gaia—god and goddess in ancient Greek mythology.

Not caring for the loathsome creature, Ramsey leapt far ahead at full speed and struck it with all his might until the monster slammed several meters back. It was a pity that his punch could not directly kill those Hecatoncheires.

   "Cih, high-level Hecatoncheires, huh?"

Ramsey complained that blatantly while justifying his standing position. Reus himself was a little disappointed in Ramsey's attack just now. Looks like this one monster will make things difficult for both of them.

   "Hehehehe, how is your opponent this time? Strong, right? He is one of my mainstay subordinates! Ahahaha!"

The distended Hobgolin chuckled loudly to see that Ramsey's attack was not working. Although the attack was less effective, the impact received by Hecatoncheires can be said to be quite normal for Ramsey.

Well, how else? Those Hecatoncheires had resistance to blunt attacks and flames. It's only natural that Ramsey's attack wasn't so effective.

   "Dull attack resistance, huh? Then there's no problem!"

Having a human figure come near him, the Hecatoncheires had eight arms about to hit the 'fly' in front of him. Reus himself did not stay silent waiting for himself to be smashed into pieces by this monster. He reactivated his Adrenaline Mode which he had disabled earlier.

In this mode Reus can see everything and think faster as much as 10% of the usual. Ten percent did not sound much, but it was enough to surpass the limits of ordinary humans.

He also avoided the attacks of eight hands one by one perfectly. There were no injuries to his body as a result of the attack. If only Reus had gotten a wound from this attack, his HP could have been drastically reduced even if it was only a small wound.

Not enough to avoid it, Reus also retaliated with Blackstar swings that he slashed little by little slashing the skin and flesh of this 20-handed monster. Although the impact of the attack is not very meaningful, with the speed he has Reus can produce small damage but fast nan streak.

Not wanting to stop, Reus continued his attack which this time targeted the six legs of the enemy that supported his large body. He ran and ducked doing a kind of sliding tackle movement while swinging his six swords trying to destroy the body support and the monster's motion tool.

It was thought that Reus' attack was a success. The silver-haired player managed to snatch this monster's means of movement so that he could not step again even if it was just an inch. But Reus did not feel enough, he immediately jumped up higher than the Hecatoncheires meat blob monster after coming out from under this monster.

   "Huh!!"

Zeeb!

There was the sound of a stabbing as well as a very smooth setting right above this twenty-handed creature. It was Blackstar who was immersed as deeply as possible through the skin and rotten flesh of this monster. Despite the smell of stinging rot, Reus tried to breathe through his mouth so as not to smell the typical rotten smell of the carcass released Hecatoncheires.

   "Eat this! Magic Storm!"

In an instant Reus took out all the remaining Magic Skills within Blackstar in order to damage the organs within the loathsome creature as badly as possible. Indeed he will not be able to release magic again from Blackstar, but this is needed so that Ramsey's victory is absolute— considering Ramsey is the only one who can survive alone against this group of elite monsters.

Blaar!!

A huge explosion was created as the monster's body was not strong enough to withstand the explosion after burst of Magic Skills clashing together within its body. The explosion was so powerful that it captured 80% of the attention of all personnel on the battlefield.

By the way, before the big explosion occurred Reus had already returned to where Ramsey was standing. He who did not lose the slightest HP after fighting Hecatoncheires it really makes Ramsey amazed. Unexpectedly it turns out his best friend in the real world is so great in virtual combat.

While Ramsey was amazed by Reus's ability, the Hobgoblin who had boasted about one of his mainstay subordinates growled with an angry outburst of emotion. He was completely inexhaustible, how could a human kill a figure Hecatoncheires his mainstay?

Ignoring the reactions of the group of elite monsters that seemed angry and disappointed, Reus took a position sitting cross-legged on the ground. Ramsey only chuckles a little at Reus's making-up behavior in the middle of a war like this.

   "Ramsey, I'll take a break if you don't mind."

   "Yes, rest in peace. I'll take over the fight from here."

Through a small punch on each palm, Reus handed the rest of this final fight to Ramsey. Although it is said Reus gave up the rest of the fight, he did not actually back down and let Ramsey act on his own. Of course he will be back fighting, but at the right time when he is fit.

On the other hand, Ramsey stepped slowly leaving Reus behind towards the final battle stage against the five Field Bosses of Viredeta village at once. His serious-looking expression looked so cool that it could sedate some women.

Whether he is really serious or just a cool ass, no one knows but himself.
