28. Chit-Chat

   "Sorry, can you say it again?"

   "Ja-be my girlfriend!"

Reus was speechless at hearing the statement that was thrown from the sweet lips of Gunner's classy player named Violet. His eyes were quite wide-eyed and subconsciously Reus put on a surprised expression.

How not? An average-looking student and less-— economy though now able to easily make money— seems to be able to hear a love statement addressed to him, how could that happen?

Indeed 'love' does not know physical or treasure, but did they just know a few days ago? Isn't this too soon? That's how Reus's mind that doubted the statement of the female gender player in front of him.

   "Violet, tell me why you want me as a boyfriend."

   "E-uh? Why suddenly?"

   "Aren't you also suddenly expressing that feeling?"

Violet was a little stunned to hear Reus's reply which was quite reasonable. He looked down at the ground with his face red. His gaze drifted to and fro looking for an excuse, but did not find the right reason.

After a few seconds, Violet exhaled and glanced at Reus.

   "Well if I tell you the truth brother won't get angry?"

   "Why am I angry?"

Reus replied to Violet's words tightly. He crossed his hands folded in front of his chest waiting for Violet's reason. He looks impatient to hear the real reason why Violet wants him to be her partner.

Afterwards, Violet recounts the real reason why she wanted Reus to be her boyfriend. It made Violet's face flushed red, while Reus only let out a heavy sigh with a somewhat irritated expression.

   "So, you promised that at the Prom Night party Saturday you'd bring your girlfriend in as proof that the boys at school would stop chasing you, but you lied about having a boyfriend?"

Violet nodded softly confirming the interrogation question from Reus while tightly closing her eyes. Reus who got this certainty held his forehead and shook his head. His forehead throbbed slightly at Violet's request.

Reus was eager to reject it, but what power had been bound by the one request he had to fulfill in order to pay for the Hollow Swords Skill Emblem he had received from Violet earlier. He really felt deceived.

   "Why don't you ask Hideo or Shian?"

   "They've been considered my own brothers, there's no way I'm taking them."

Reus took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. He managed to calm himself.

   "Well, I'll be your girlfriend until Prom Night's over."

   "REally!?"

   "Yes. Besides, you're one of Mira's few friends, I think helping a little is okay."

Turning back to Violet, he then stepped into the hall even deeper. Seeing Reus intending to leave her, Violet immediately caught up with Reus from behind with a slightly hasty move. Keep in mind, Violet is afraid of the dark.

Ten minutes since Reus and Violet had finished resting, they walked through this passage deeper. Since they decided to continue the search no mob monsters or Gnome Bandit NPC monsters attacked them—not even seen. This is pretty strange.

   "Good."

Reus pulled out his sword from his back while Violet pulled both of her silver pistols from her waist preparing to face something quite large. Although Violet was a high-leveled player, she had never once entered this Lafos Cave so the only one who was most likely to prevent a surprise attack was Reus.

They step forward with caution maybe be aware of the entire area that can be reached.

Once the tenth step was reached, Reus was able to see a large, muscular monster five meters tall, having a pair of curved black horns at his left and right temples, and was able to see a large, burly monster, there was a circle of iron bracelets hanging under his nostrils, a piece of cloth coiled around his waist, and carrying a large two-handed axe. Not only that, around it there are also about five Dwarves that are certainly part of the Gnome Bandit.

   "Violet, it—"

   "Low level minotaur. It seems like this monster is Dungeon Boss."

Reus swallowed his saliva hearing Violet's reply that was beyond his expectations. He had read in an article on the internet if the Minotaur monster in Orbis Online is very strong even though it is only a low level. The lowest level the Minotaur has is level 30.

For some reason, Reus became happy and agitated at the same time. Maybe he was happy because the level of the boss he had to fight was higher than him, while what made him uneasy was the feeling of not being sure that he could defeat this Dungeon Boss.

   "Violet, you'll be my backup."

   "O-okay."

After giving the direction to Violet, Reus immediately shot forward towards one of the Dwarves carrying a wand carrying a small skull of—Shaman Dwarf— and attacked him with Swing as hard as he could while spinning several times before his slash hit in order to cause damage to be generated bigger—although only a little.

Zraaatt! Zraat!! Zraa!!

Three Swing slashes at once in the first attack made the Shaman Dwarf's HP drop dramatically. This made the other Dwarves and the Minotaur aware of his existence. But even though he had been caught, Reus gave the last swing to Shaman Dwarf who instantly finished off his HP bar.

   "Graaaaooo!!"

The Minotaur roared loudly to find one of its comrades killed by this silver-haired player. He raised and swung his ax vertically against his opponent. It was a pity, because Reus' slow movements could avoid him easily.

Reus pushed the ground back forward, this time passing through the large space between the Minotaur's legs. As he passed under the monster, he accidentally saw his 'it. Spontaneously his stomach felt heartburn and wanted to vomit, but he held it back because he was currently in a fight.

While running towards the other Dwarves, Reus picked up a bottle of Poison I and a bottle of Energy Potion I from the Inventory. Reus consumed the purple liquid from Energy Potion I, then broke the Poison bottle with his sword to make the blade poison.

As soon as the preparations were done, Reus swung his sword again attacking the remaining Dwarves. The attack did not stop even though it was blocked by enemy shields or weapons. As his sword was restrained and could not be used for a while, he used his hands and feet that were already protected by the Ice Golem Gauntlet and Ice Golem Boots.

   "I also want to test this skill. [Hollow Swords]!"

There was a dark purple smoke coming out of Reus' body. The wisps of dark purple smoke gathered at five different points a meter away from Reus. Within seconds, the wisp of smoke formed five blackish purple semi-transparent swords that hung around Reus.

Zraaat!!

The five blackish purple swords instantly slashed the Dwarves who were against Reus without command. The damage the Dwarves received was quite a lot and immediately took a safe distance from this silver-haired player.

   "Hollow Swords, huh? Good for this skill."

Reus' lips curled upwards giving a meaningful smile to the Dwarves he was fighting now so witnessed for himself what the skill he had just received from Violet was like. He kicked the ground and shot forward, then....

   "Fight begins!!"
