78. Reus vs Arshwind

Blaarr! Blaarr! Blaar!

Explosion after explosion, vibration after vibration, shock after shock, all this was passed by Reus who continued to run avoiding every attack in the form of a burst of fire from Arshwind the Dragon. It had been about two minutes that he continued to run non-stop to avoid Arshwind's attack, but he had not found the slightest gap that allowed him to get closer and launch an attack.

In some attacks Reus is seen reaching out to Blackstar to touch the Arshwind fire spray, but instead of being sucked it devours Blackstar Durability points in terrifying numbers. After learning this Reus no longer intended to suck this terrible fire again before the time came.

Arshwind who saw the silver-haired player was only able to pacing around the difficulty of dodging his attacks seemed to chuckle slowly several times. For a long time he had no guests, but he did not expect anyone to be able to dodge all of his fire breath attacks.

Arshwind is not a less intelligent mob monster, even more intelligent than most of the normal NPCs of the Orbis Online world. He did not feel annoyed or anything like that when he saw the attack after attack that he launched was avoided so easily by this dwarf creature in front of him, Arshwind saw it as a fairly rare entertainment considering he had long fallen asleep due to boredom in this place.

Seeing this player's persistent attempt to dodge his attack, Arshwind deliberately stopped his fire spurt within seconds. This was not because he underestimated Reus, but as a tribute to the dwarf man in front of him for having lasted more than five minutes.

Reus who felt that he had a chance to get away as quickly as possible did not want to miss a golden opportunity like this. Not feeling enough at his current speed, Reus summoned his five Hollow Swords and rode two of them and moved as fast as the wind towards Arshwind.

Arshwind who did not expect Reus' speed to increase significantly was startled and immediately rose to prepare for a serious attack, but he knew that a dwarf like Reus would not be able to scuff even on his scales.

The Dragon race was indeed famous for its legendary thickness and hardness of scales, even some news tells that there are the rarest high-class Items ever found to contain the scales of Dragon—Dragon Scale— which is the main ingredient so that the Durability of the Item is far above the level of Durandal or Excaliburs.

It was a pity that those Items did not belong to players but belonged to a legendary NPC who was said to be extremely powerful in a kingdom. It was rumored that this NPC had killed over a hundred Dragon races in its golden age and left his precious Items to be stored by a kingdom called Bailendra Kingdom—a kingdom in the Plainfest continent of the Orbis world Online.

This NPC-owned item was predicted as a Relic-class Item that even large Legions had never obtained. Although the Item was very tempting to various players as well as NPCs, there was no madman who wanted to make himself an enemy of a kingdom—especially Baliendra Kingdom which was one of the strongest kingdoms in the Plainfest continent.

Back to Reus.

The speed of the Hollow Swords Reus was too fast even Reus himself was surprised at his current speed, but he did not complain much because in just less than five seconds he had already reached Arshwind's body without any difficulty.

As he approached Arshwind's body, Reus immediately jumped up about to sink all seven of his swords that he could control with all his might through the scales of this monster. But unfortunately, Reus had not been able to carry out his plan, he had crashed far thanks to the flapping of the Arshwind wing that was so strong.

Reus had rolled several times on the stone floor for a few seconds until finally stopped on his knees. He felt quite intense pain throughout his body thanks to the wind from the flapping of Arshwind's wings, even though Reus thought some of his bones would be broken because of it.

The body of a player in the game—or commonly called avatar— will very rarely get serious injuries such as broken bones or such, but their HP parameters will be reduced a lot instead. Reus himself could see his HP drop by more than half just because it crashed and rolled.

Reus retrieved the HP Potion II from his Inventory and immediately vertically discharged it recovering about 20% of its HP. Although 20% sounded a little, it could at least save his life in a critical state.

Seeing Reus drinking the healing potion, Arshwind attacked again with his fireballs, but this time the fireballs were much smaller but of terrible quantity. If some large attack cannot hit a moving target, it is better to use a much greater quantity even if the impact is drastically reduced.

Although the power of these fireballs is far below the previous fireball, it can still whine more than half Reus' HP in one attack which means if Reus is hit just once then he will die. Reus' forehead shriveled as he watched dozens or even hundreds of small fireballs lead at him.

'This isn't the time to set up an avatar, but what to do.'

Arshwind widened his red eyes looking at the speed of the player he was dealing with. Never had he seen a human being able to increase his speed so drastically within that time of five seconds.

When Arshwind was surprised Reus could see the gap in the fireball attack that was released in succession since earlier. Reus who did not want to let go of this opportunity immediately re-activated his Hollow Swords that had disappeared and could be activated again. He used his black swords to surf the air as fast as he could to get close to Arshwind's head.

In just two seconds Reus was already about 15 meters away from the head of Arshwind which made the Dragon shocked half to death. This fight was his first fight since waking up from his long sleep, naturally he underestimated the opponent especially his opponent was just a dwarf man who looked not so strong.

In a panic Arshwind breathed out his fire without processing it into a fireball spontaneously, while this human being who was his target smiled faintly as if he felt he could win.

Reus kicked the black sword he was riding and jumped high enough towards Arshwind. Not quite getting there, Reus immediately controlled his swords to attack Arshwind's eyes. Although he knew he would not be able to win against a monster of this level, at least Reus wanted to give a fairly fierce resistance at his level which was still quite low.

If he can do it then Reus can gain his confidence as an abnormal player.

Jrass!

   "Graaah!!"

A loud roar filled the room, this time accompanied by a deep cry of pain. Even though his endurance and level were extremely high compared to the attack power and level of Reus, still the eyes were open internal organs that could be attacked from the outside ignoring the incredible hardness of the Dragon's scales.

Reus landed on the edge of Arshwind's raging muzzle, but he did not fall for sticking his two swords as deep as possible on Arshwind's muzzle. Although not so deep, at least it makes Reus not slammed from his footing.

Arshwind who was roaring in pain was writhing with all his might feeling a great pain in his eyes. He did not expect it to turn out that there were humans who could think of the weakness of a hard scaly figure like a Dragon.

At the end of the turmoil and perks produced Arshwind, the, finally Reus was thrown up high thanks to the Self Dual Wielding duration that was almost exhausted so that Reus was forced to remove and return the Goblin Killing Sword into his Inventory.

When Reus was thrown Arshwind opened his right eye saw the dwarf man who was his opponent being thrown helplessly into the air. The Dragon Race also had special regeneration abilities that could heal or regenerate injured or cut parts of its body in quick time. It is thanks to this ability that Arshwind got his vision back even if only his right eye.

Arshwind felt that Reus could not do anything in the air so he opened his mouth as wide as he could to eat it. Given that he had not filled his stomach for a long time, it was natural that he wanted to eat Reus who incidentally was a human, the favorite race of the Dragon.

Seeing Arshwind waiting for him with his mouth wide open, Reus gave a small smile. He then pointed Blackstar's tip toward the wide, sharp-toothed jaw.

   "Magic Storm!"
