"Kynel, wake up."
"Emm? What's up, Reus?"
"Our turn is on patrol."
The sleepy-looking Kynel got up from her sleeping position and out of the tent walked towards the place where Reus' voice was heard. While yawning, he opened his eyes looking forward.
When he opened his eyes, he could see Reus doing a pull-up on a tree branch in front of him. His eyes became wide at once astonished at what his party chief was doing.
"Re-Reus, what are you doing?"
"As you can see, I'm doing pull-ups."
"I also know it just by looking at it. But, why do it inside Orbis Online? Isn't that useless in the real world?"
"Ah, this is my habit after waking up. Although sleeping in Orbis Online, still exercise is necessary."
Getting an incomprehensible answer, Kynel shook his head while sighing softly. He did not think that Reus thought like that when sports in the virtual world will not affect the body in the real world.
Even though the body in the real world does not move, the brain that is the foundation of all human activities and centers still move even in a virtual world like Orbis Online. Reus himself already knew this and the opposite of Kynel's previous words, he took advantage of it.
The real world body and the virtual world body are very different, but the mind and soul remain the same. If Reus exercises in the virtual world, then his brain considers his body fit and ready to move. In other words, psychological development.
But according to Kynel, still sports in the virtual world can not affect the body in the real world. When Reus logs out later, he must return to exercise to keep his body even though his mental or mind is tired.
After finishing his pull-up, Reus came down from the tree and did some stretches on his upper body.
"Do we have to patrol? Isn't this a safe area?"
"not necessarily. It could be that the monsters sent spies just like we sent out a surveillance team to spy on us."
"Is that so? But I guess monsters are stupid because their intelligence is lacking, especially mob monsters like Goblins or other types of beasts. There's no way they're doing that."
Reus scratched his head at Kynel's true statement. He had never met a monster with high intelligence until now—except the Dwarf NPCs he had encountered in Lafos cave.
"Well, there's no harm in keeping watch. Before Joelyn's party was on patrol, now it's our turn. Get ready in five minutes."
"All right."
Obtaining orders from his party chief, Kynel wears all the Equip he used to wear before. A dull brown cloak, a magic wand at the end of which was a bright blue stone, and a small silver ring on his right ring finger.
Reus also wore the Equip that he had previously taken off because it was uncomfortable to sleep. Please note, as long as you do not log out and die the player will not be able to exit— unless there is an error on the network or game. Sleeping inside is no problem.
The sleep referred to here is similar to ordinary sleep in general in the real world, but in Orbis Online is more emphasized to rest the mind considering that everything that happens in this virtual world is the brain that moves.
Solid Gear will only perform Emergency Log Out when the user's body is in trouble. Examples such as dehydration, high blood pressure, abnormal heartbeats, and so forth. That's the standard Solid Gear safety mechanism announced by Deraft Corporation since Solid Gear was first released five years ago.
After getting ready, Reus and Kynel split up in two different directions. Kynel headed east and Reus headed west. They had already discussed it before leaving before Kynel would patrol to the east and north, while Reus was to the opposite direction.
Reus has added Kynel to his Friendlist so that if there's something his friend can contact him. In addition, the eastern part of the river flows there so that some players often go there to take drinking water or urinate.
Just for information, the urine in Orbis Online will be neutralized immediately and certainly will not be dangerous or pollute river water, so players can calm down. After all, the virtual world would not affect the player's body in the real world. But still some players feel disgusted to take drinking water in the river used to dispose of urine.
Being alone, Reus changed his Ironforge Sword sword to Blackstar on his back. He still wanted to test how great this sword was considering that the Goblin had not been so resistant when he had fought not too long ago.
"Hmm? That's... Wolf, huh?"
While walking to enjoy the beautiful night sky from the forest, Reus found a Wolf who was alone not far from where he stood. Wolf's not in a group? It was impossible, it could be that this was a trap from a monster with high intelligence.
Wolf is a mob monster that usually lives in groups just like wolves in general in the real world. It is rare to see a wolf alone. This is what led to Reus's suspicion.
With that thought, Reus immediately hid behind a tree under which there were lush bushes. He was not the one to directly hit the opponent so he checked the area around him first to ascertain whether the Wolf was a trap or not.
Reus closing his eyes concentrates all attention on the sense of hearing, considering that night vision like this can not be too reliable—unless it has a Night Vision skill that can see clearly in the dark.
When he closed his eyes he could hear the song of the night insect in the guttural, but he got something strange. In several places opposite from where he was hiding at the moment there were some sounds of small but definite heavy steps. Hearing this, Reus frowned.
'This sound is like something big. Is that a Golem?'
Muttering that in his heart, Reus opened his eyes to end his hearing session. He wanted to leave this place and report to the Chairman of the Raid, but the intention was only a mere intention.
When he opened his eyes, Reus was struck by a semi-transparent, faceless, white creature with two eye holes and one lip, legless but hovering, hands but no fingers.
'Shit, Ghost!'
Instantly, Reus jumped to the side out of hiding spontaneously. Not that he was afraid of this kind of astral mob monster, he was just reflexively keeping his distance in the fight.
He immediately reached Blackstar on his back, but before pulling the weapon he heard a loud voice.
"Aauuu!!"
It was the howling sound of Wolf, one of his skills named Howl. This skill is just a loud howl, but it can summon other Wolf herds that are in different places.
Reus is surprised not to play once he realizes he has been known by the Wolf. He who came out of hiding reflexively it was not aware that Wolf's gaze had already led to him a few seconds ago. Worse yet the Wolf managed to activate his Howl skill to summon his group.
Focused on by the Wolf, Reus did not realize that the Ghost in front of him was spewing out something like a ball and landed right on his chest. This made Reus again surprised and hit back a few steps back.
'Damn it. I'm really fucking shit!'
Having an unexpected situation, Reus' expression looked both annoyed and surprised at the same time. He immediately pulled Blackstar from his back and put in a position ready to fight because most likely he would not be able to run away from this situation.
